Fallout: London may not be official To fall game developed and published by Bethesda, but which has proven to be a huge success. And the massive free mod, released last month, has just received its first major update, which fixes some issues and weakens the packs of deadly foxes running around post-apocalyptic London.
After a long wait and a last minute delay due to a big Fallout 4 update, Fallout: London launched for free on July 25. The “game” is technically a free fan-made mod for Fallout 4 on PC, but it feels more like a new game from Bethesda. And while the reception of Fallout: London The mod has been generally positive, but there have been complaints about game crashes and annoying bugs. But a recently released update should help stabilize the mod.
On August 9, Good Old Games, which works with modders to distribute Fallout: London, confirmed in a press release that the game’s first major update was now available. It was also confirmed that over 500,000 copies of the mod were downloaded in the first 24 hours.
One thing I immediately noticed in the lengthy patch notes is that the foxes have been slightly weakened in this update. It’s good news for the many, a lot players who complained about being attacked And killed by those hairy little bastards while playing Fallout: London.
Some fans started joking that they were worse than the famous characters from the series. Death ClawsI wouldn’t go that far, but a pack of foxes can quickly kill you if they appear at the wrong time, like after a fight or when you’re out of ammo.
Another positive change is the reduction in the amount of radiative damage you take per second when swimming in the game’s water. Previously, this was an incredibly high 250 rads per second, which essentially meant you were dead every time you slid into the water. Now, London Water only deals 169 rads per second, which is enough to keep you cautious, but not enough to instantly kill you if you slide off a platform.
These all seem like good changes to me and I’m looking forward to diving back into them. Fallout: London Soon. Hopefully it won’t be a problem for me anymore either. Here are the full patch notes for this update:
